Research programme
The central question is how modern differential geometric structures can provide a structural language for differential equations, field theories, transformations, reductions and integrability phenomena, while opening new avenues for physical applications.
Research vision
My recent work develops a coherent programme around k-contact geometry, jet bundles, integrable systems, Hamilton–Jacobi theory and geometric reduction. The aim is to identify intrinsic geometric structures that simultaneously encode PDEs, non-conservative dynamics, symmetries, transformations and reduction procedures, rather than treating these topics through separate formalisms.
The programme is now moving from foundational structures to recognition results, transformations, reductions and applications to field theories and integrable systems.
Main research directions
1. k-contact geometry and field theories
Development of k-contact geometry as a framework for non-conservative field theories, reduction, Hamilton–Jacobi theory and dissipative PDE models.
2. Jets and PDE geometry
Recognition of jet bundles through higher-order polarised k-contact structures, with applications to symmetries, invariant submanifolds and transformations.
3. Integrable systems and transformations
Geometric study of integrability mechanisms, transformations, superposition phenomena, Lax-type structures and symmetry-based methods for differential equations.
4. Reduction and geometric mechanics
Marsden–Weinstein-type reductions, energy-momentum methods, stability, multisymplectic and related geometric structures.
